1. About RoadAssist

RoadAssist is currently operated in India by Ajay Kumar as an individual service-platform operator. It helps customers send roadside-assistance requests to independent mechanics. RoadAssist is a coordination platform and does not itself perform vehicle repairs.

2. Current free-platform period

  • RoadAssist currently charges customers no platform or booking fee.
  • Mechanics independently describe their service scope and quote the service and parts price.
  • The customer must confirm the final price with the mechanic before work or a parts purchase begins.
  • The customer pays the mechanic directly using the agreed payment method. RoadAssist does not currently collect, hold, or transfer that service payment.

3. Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact, vehicle, issue, and location information.
  • Use RoadAssist only for genuine roadside-assistance requests.
  • Share the service OTP only after the assigned mechanic arrives.
  • Confirm the work, parts, final price, and payment method before service begins.
  • Keep yourself and others away from unsafe traffic or vehicle conditions while waiting.

4. Independent mechanic responsibilities

  • Accept only jobs they can safely and lawfully perform.
  • Confirm the service scope and final price with the customer before starting work.
  • Obtain customer approval before adding work, parts, or charges.
  • Collect the agreed payment directly and provide an invoice or receipt when legally required or requested.
  • Maintain any registrations, licences, tools, insurance, and safety practices required for their work.

5. Job records and availability

App and website status updates, OTPs, messages, and payment-status entries help coordinate a request. They do not replace the price agreement between the customer and mechanic. Mechanic availability, arrival times, parts, and successful completion are not guaranteed.

6. Safety and emergencies

RoadAssist is for vehicle roadside assistance, not police, fire, ambulance, medical, or rescue emergencies. If there is injury, fire, crime, or immediate danger in India, move to a safe place where possible and call 112.

7. Problems, cancellations, and complaints

Customers and mechanics should report incorrect status updates, unsafe conduct, pricing disputes, or service problems promptly. RoadAssist may review platform records, restrict accounts, or help the parties communicate, but a direct service-payment dispute may need to be resolved with the mechanic or through remedies available under applicable law.

8. Future charges

RoadAssist may later introduce clearly disclosed platform fees, customer charges, or mechanic subscriptions. Any such charge will be shown before it applies and may require acceptance of updated terms. These current terms do not authorize an undisclosed charge.

9. Liability and consumer rights

Each mechanic remains responsible for the roadside work they perform. RoadAssist is responsible for operating its platform with reasonable care. Nothing in these terms removes any consumer right or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, RoadAssist is not responsible for indirect losses or events outside its reasonable control.

10. Privacy, changes, and governing law

Use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. RoadAssist may update these terms and will publish the updated date on this page. These terms are governed by applicable Indian law, and disputes are subject to the competent courts and consumer forums in Hyderabad, Telangana.
